Halloween in New York City is very extravagant, as with any event in the Big Apple. For family fun, costume parades and haunted houses are offered. New York's annual Village Halloween Parade offers puppets, dancers, singers, extravagant floats, and even high school bands participate. This fun tradition allows fun for the entire family. Another well known New York Halloween event is the Halloween Extravaganza and Procession of Ghouls. Featured is a classic silent horror film followed by outstanding organ music at the Cathedral of St. John and finishing with The Grand Procession of the Ghouls. The Procession features amazing costumes, creatures, and special effects appropriate for all ages. For the older crowd the Blood Manor Haunted House is recommended. Blood Manor is 5,000 square feet of complete horror. This bloodcurdling experience takes you trough twenty rooms of terror including Thunderdome and Skull Alley.
