They say that you haven't tasted pizza until you have been to New York City. When do you know that you have tasted the best slice? Most of the pizzerias located in New York City claim to have the best pizza in the world. Avoiding these places is difficult when there are at least two pizzerias to each block. But, narrowing some of the most famous spots should not be hard.
Located between Mott and Mulberry streets, Lombardi's Pizzeria is not only known for their custom Italian atmosphere, but for their pizza that holds lines up around the corner. It is not like your ordinary pizza place where each additional topping may be priced anywhere from $.50-$1.00. This pizzeria has toppings that can cost up to $5.00. Lombardi's also has a variety of toppings to add to your pie, which may make your decision a little harder than usual. These prices are little on the expensive side, so maybe they should have the best pizza in the world. However,if you take a ride under the Brooklyn Bridge at 19 old Fulton Street you will find Grimaldi's Pizzeria. This place is not only reasonably priced, but is also known for the fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline. The pizza at Grimaldi's only comes in a whole pie size, and they do not deliver. The dine-in experience is most appropriate for a date because of the Italian atmosphere.
Finding a pizzeria will not be hard to find in New York City. The only problem you will run into might be finding the best pizzeria in New york City. Good luck!
