New York has 5 boroughs, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan. In each of these boroughs there are many sights to see and things to do. You can have a really great time visiting any of these places.
Manhattan Island is one of the biggest boroughs in New York. You can go to Bryant Park and Union Square, there are also several museums that you can visit. Times Square always has something going on and you can have a really great time here with all the sights to see.
Brooklyn has something for everyone. There are several exciting events here like going to the Cherry Blossom Festival or the Brooklyn Carnival. If you like to shop you will find a wide variety of shops here for any kind of income level.
Staten Island is the third biggest borough of New York and has the least amount of people that live here. In order to get here you would have to take a 30 minute trip on the Staten Island Ferry from Manhattan or you can also arrive here on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge from Brooklyn. This island includes some small unpopulated islands, like The Isle of Meadow, Prall's Island, Shooters Island, Swinburne Island and Hoffman Island. If you like to go to the park this would be the place to go as it has several parks for you to enjoy.
Visiting any of these 5 boroughs offers a variety of things for people of all ages.
