High Times In The Hamptons

The Hamptons is located right outside of New York City and is the summer retreat for many high rollers and celebrities. The fact is when traveling to The Hamptons people should be aware the price to stay there is not cheap. The busiest time of the year here are the summer months to Labor Day.

The rates for renting a home in this area can climb as high as a million dollars for just 6 months and that is if you can even find one. Just to stay in one of the plush hotels in the area the average nightly rate is over $400.00 and a 3-night stay at a small home is just over $15,000. The truth is people can still enjoy the luxury of a trip to The Hamptons for just under $30.00 a night and the cost of a tent. Some of the best campgrounds are located in the area and a lot cheaper for the entire family to stay. There is Cedar Point County Park and Hither Hill State Park just to name two. Over 165 campsites are booked solid during the summer months and people will go at 3a.m. hoping there will be a cancellation.

Both of these two top campsites are located in an area that leaves the visitors access to going to the top dining and shopping sections in the Hamptons. People will still have the same outdoor excitement as any other camping experience. There are campfire family conversations, boating, fishing and many other outside activities.
